How to Make Ink Traps

Hiya,
Last week we made Ink traps to track rats and mice in our Horticulture block. Kate and I made ours and placed them in some bushes, we checked them the next day period one and a rat had stolen our entire sponge! Below I'll show how to make them, and I'll put a link to the video we used here.

You'll need:
Two plastic milk cartons
One craft Knife or Scissors
Food Colouring
A Sponge
A black Plastic bag
Peanut butter
One peice of cardboard
One A-4 piece of paper
Instructions:
1. Cut off the top and bottom of the milk cartons
2. Slot them together
3. Trim the sponge to fit inside the bottom
4. Place the sponge inside the bottom of the milk carton
5.  Squirt many drops of food colouring on the sponge
6. Push the cardboard inside the tunnel
7. put the paper on top
8. Put a spoonfull of peanut butter on the sponge
9. Put the sponge inside the trap
10. Cover the trap in the black plastic
11. Put the Ink Tunnel in a sheltered place and check for prints each morning.
