Hiya,
I'm back with another post! Today, Megan asked us to post about our experience from working at home, so mine is below. Enjoy!
As you probably know, I'm a year 8 at Ōtaki College, so it won't affect me as much as other students who are preparing for exams. In one way, I've enjoyed learning from home -speakers blasting, doodling paper nearby- One of the reasons I've enjoyed it so much is simply having to manager yourself. If your brain has decided to shut off for a bit, you have the option to take a break, you can eat when you like and for as long as you like (snacks and work, I've found, are a great combination). In the social aspect, I found it really challenging. I'm a very social person, so yes, I struggled a little with being unable to meet up and hang out with my friends. Zoom meetings aren't the same as taking the dogs out for a walk, or going to ride Ali (Jett's horse). One of the things which I became very grateful for was simply my family. We've gotten to know each other way better throughout this pandemic, and that's great. As for objects which have helped, my kindle has been my child. If you're not sure what a kindle is, its basically a mini tablet for reading. You can purchase books on it, and the books are half the price, (Frost blood, an awesome book, was $1.19) Books go on sale often, and you can follow authors for updates on release dates, sales, new books and more! I got my kindle paperwhite for Christmas last year, and I'll upload a pic below, I bought a cover for it.
So yeah. That's my experience from lockdown, let me know what your's was like in the comments!
