What a stellar job you’ve done on your profile page about Lorde. You’ve included a lot of amazing facts and images and formatted them brilliantly. Its eye-catching and enticing to your readers. Well done!
I like how you’ve used the colour green. It makes me think of Lorde’s song ‘Green Light’. What a catchy tune, it’s one of my favourites. I love to dance to it. What’s your favourite pop song? Is it by Lorde or a different artist.
Im really happy you enjoyed my post. Yes, I did go for the 'Green Light' look- I'm glad it works! I love making little things like this, they're really fun and interactive. I created this on a google drawing- I've found they're easy to use and look really cool!
Pop songs- hmmmm... I've got a strange taste in music- but I love Billie Eilish, BANKS, Lana Del Rey, Arctic Monkeys and many others! I know not all of these are pop, but I'm under the impression Billie Eilish and BANKS are- You should check them out. I love the song "Bury a friend' By Billie Eilish and 'You should know where I'm coming from.' By BANKS. They've got a very interesting feel to the music, I certenly dance (and sing- but that's between you and I) along.
Thanks for spending some of your time looking at my post,
Wow, you did all of the post by yourself? That’s very impressive! You’ve obviously got a talent for using google drawing because it’s incredible. I’m eagerly awaiting more of your blog posts!
I really like Billie Eilish’s songs ‘Lovely’ with Khalid as well as ‘When the Party is Over’. She’s a fabulous artist isn’t she. I’ve never listened to Banks, I’ll have to look her up but if she’s anything like the other artists you named, I think you’ll have definitely have attracted her a new fan.
I really like Ariana Grande and Panic at the Disco as well. I don’t have a specific taste in music genres but typically I like songs with a steady beat that hype you up. They’re my favourite to listen to.
You sound like you could be musical. Do you play any instruments?
I also love 'Lovely' and 'when the party's over.' Banks is kind of like Billie Elish- But the music kind of feels dark and heavy. Its hard to explain.
Panic! at the disco is great! My friend Nelly introduced me to 'Emperors New Clothes'- And I'll admit I'm listening to it right now.
I guess I play an instrument- if you count vocals is an instrument! Each year at Ōtaki College there's a music group who have lessons in their chosen subject- Keyboard, Vocal, Drums, guitar and ukulele. At the end of each year, we preform at college- its really awesome!
Do you play any instruments? I'm keen to learn more about you :)
Banks sounds good! I totally understand what you mean, some music creates an atmosphere just with the instruments chosen and the words, kind of like how in scary movies directors use music to build tension before jump scares.
I really like ‘LA Devotee’ by Panic at the Disco. It’s just so catchy and I find myself singing along to it very early on in the song!
Vocals count as an instrument! It takes a lot of hard work to be a singer! What are you singing at the concert? Perhaps you could film it and put it on your blog. It takes a lot of courage to sing in front of people! I don’t think I could do it. I like speaking in front of people but not singing, I just get too nervous! Do you like performing for people?
I don’t play any instruments unless you count the fact that I can play the start of jingle bells on the recorder! I learnt it when I was about 10 and it’s stuck in my brain ever since! I’m more into studying I think, I’m a bit of a nerd. I actually just graduated from university. I studied politics, philosophy, and economics there. I really like my subjects because they make you think about really strange concepts that are kind of fun. Philosophy especially is quite good for that. This year we talked about what it takes to be a good person and what makes things good in the first place. I find it very interesting to think about. Economics is my most favourite subject though. What’s your most favourite subject?
We sang a lot in the concert- I can think of 'Halelujah' 'Shallow' 'Grenade' 'Faded' and a gazillion more I can't remember. I do enjoy preforming in front of people- though I get more nervous if I know the people. I find it easier to preform in front of people who I probably never going to see again.
Philosophy and Economics sound really interesting! My favourite subject... Hmm... Maybe writing? I love anything creative, Digital Media, Woodwork, Art, and many more! I really enjoyed writing this year, as you can probably see from all the stories below. Maybe you'd like to read one?
I totally understand that. I do much better at speaking in public in front of people who don’t know me than if I spoke in front of my parents, grandparents, and siblings. Even though they’d be most supportive, they just make me a little bit nervous!
Two of my sisters are really into performing. One of them was actually singing on the weekend at the local Christmas market day. She has a beautiful voice and is currently learning the ukulele. My other sister is also a bit of a performer. She’s been in a lot of shows and I don’t know how she does it. She is so confident in singing and acting and dancing, much like I imagine you would have been at your concert!
You do strike me as a very creative person. It’s brilliant, the world needs more creative people to bring joy and spread the cheer! I like writing too! My favourite thing to write is a poem, I like rhyming words. What are your favourite things to write?
I’ll definitely have a look at your stories! Are they posted in your blog as well? Do you have a favourite you’d like me to start with?
Thank you for your positive, thoughtful, helpful comments. Positive - something done well Thoughtful - a sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say Helpful - give some ideas for next time or ask a question you want to know more about
