The Leaning tower of Pisa was built in 1272, which makes it 748 years old! It was built on marshy land, which was made of wet sand, clay and mud, which created the iconic tilt. Personally, I haven't seen a leaning building, much less the tower of Pisa, though I'd love to travel to Italy! Yes, I would climb to the top of the tower! I'm much like a cat, I love heights (and sleeping, the warm sun, doing nothing all day)... the list goes on. I would also be fine with standing under it, as it's been designed to stand stabilised to stand it its current position for three hundred years. It is possible to straiten a building, as the Leaning tower of Pisa proves. However, I don't think we should straiten the tower, as it would remove it's iconic quirk.
Megan has asked us to also build our own leaning tower, so below I'll ad some photos :)
I did try to add another book-relevantly thick, 445 pages- and it toppled! Yes, that's a metal straw with blue tack holding it up, and no, I'm not a vsco girl!!
Hope you enjoyed this post, and maybe you should try to make your own leaning tower :)
