Worm Farm Follow-up Tasks

 Hola,

This week, our infobyte was called 'Worm Farms' I've got one at home, so I'm familiar with the process. Megan asked us to post some of our tasks to out blog, so here are my step by step process of making the worm farm and my poster encouraging people to use them.

My Pepeha

Hiya :) Today Megan asked us to use a website (link here) to create out Pepeha, depending if we knew it or we didn't, and to post it to our blog. I know mine, so I selected 'I know my Pepeha' and typed in my mountain, river, family name, etc. Its a cool website, easy to use and simple.

Global Warming Follow-up Tasks

Hiya,

I'm back this week with some more follow-up tasks from Megan. These are tasks set for us after we read an info byte in our reading group. Usually, we have to pick some tricky or interesting words from the story and find the definition, then write them into our own sentence to show we understand what they mean. Our second task is often deciding on a subheading for each paragraph and some trigger words to help us remember what they are about. The third this time was a diagram around ho global warming works/is caused. The fourth is a poster warning people about the effects of global warming/climate change. The last follow-up task, number five, is always something creative. This week it was to make a something to help humans survive Climate change.

Down below are my third, fourth and fifth tasks.
Have an awesome day :)

Dan the Insect Man Restaurant

Hola, This week, our infobyte was called 'Insects- Future food.'. Yes, I know. It was about how we might have to eat insects in the future, as they'd be cheaper to produce and take up less space. I completed the follow-up tasks, and here's one of them- My bug restaurant menu. Well, the task was to create a three course meal, but I had time and I decided to make an menu because... well... why not? I also made this poster as part of the reading tasks, its about how we might need to get used to eating insects, they could become a usual snack. Or not. Anyway, here it is down below. Let me know if you'd eat any of these, or not, and why! Have an awesome day, Annelise :)
